“Loops”: Cerpin Continues Exploring Beats in Different Ways While Sticking to Lo-Fi Boom Bap Roots8/12/2022 After delivering various singles across the pandemic and showing an experimental and expanding sound in cacos son otakus de closet at the beginning of the year, producer and beatmaker Cerpin continues to explore different sounds rooted in instrumental boom bap across his new EP Loops. Loops starts with “Presentando:”, a very brief intro interlude that does exactly what its title mentions. Afterwards, “Pa’ BB” is a shiny and tropical loop that’ll take listeners to the beach. Then “🌄” is lo-fi instrumental boom bap beat that features a hypnotic flute sample to keep listeners tuned in. Next “Barbasol” delivers a piano-fueled loop that will listeners attached to their headphones. Later, “Kobe-19” is a beat that samples some classic R&B and soul, which will shake audiences’ minds with its surreal switches. Subsequently, “Adult Swim (Instrumental) provides a relaxing vibe that feels nostalgic, dreamy and happy all at once”. Finally, “Soft Served” is another chill production fueled by a fantastic soul sample finishing the project on a beautiful note. Overall, Cerpin’s Loops is a project that continues to show the producer’s growth as a musician who continues to take samples and shapes them into interesting and dynamic soundscapes.
