Super Mario Finally Admits “That 1993 Movie Was a Bad Interpretation of Me, But a Trippy Experience”4/1/2022 MUSHROOM KINGDOM--With a new Super Mario film coming soon, the Nintendo mascot sat down with his dear friend Toad on the “Not-A-Mushroom Podcast” where the two discussed what they expected from the new adaptation as well as discussing the 1993 adaptation that held them from ever giving rights for their likeness to be interpreted again. “That 1993 movie was a bad interpretation of me, but a trippy experience” said the mustached plumber to his buddy as they lol’d their way across the podcast. “It’s been thirty years, so I think Hollywood has learned a thing or two,” later added the one interpreted by legendary actor Bob Hoskins. “One would think!” replied Toad in his always loud voice. The new Mario film is set to hit theaters in 2022 with Strangers with Candy actor Chris Pratt wearing the red cap.
