“Club Vertigo”: Francis Mxs Continues Displaying His Love and Mastery of House and Dance Music4/8/2022 After 2019, producer Francis Mxs, formerly known as Francis Mxsart, has been very active in the scene. With 2021’s Katarsis, a collaboration with singer and rapper Stz Poetic, the producer not only displayed his varied soundscapes but the seamless chemistry he shares with the artist. Now he starts 2022 with Club Vertigo, an EP where he explores many of the electronic sounds he loves so much. Club Vertigo starts with “tunnel vision”, a dreamy and danceable house song that introduces listeners to the type of party they’re gonna get themselves into. Afterwards, “footloose” serves as another fun and almost psychedelic tune for Francis Mxs’ repertoire. Then the title track takes over as the producer continues the audio language presented in previous songs while focusing a lot on atmosphere. Next, “the way i c u” finds the producer collaborating with Orteez in an extremely danceable record where both psychedelic, industrial, and house seamlessly blend. Finally, “upstairs” closes the project in fantastic fashion as Mxs sums up previous sounds and blends them with a bit of drum & bass and techno influences to finish up the ambience of the titular Club Vertigo. As a whole, Francis Mxs’ Club Vertigo is a display of love for house and other electronic soundscapes as the producer shows his continuous growth of said genres as well as his seamless ability to start a fun party while creating something that can easily be heard in movies or be adapted into visual form.
